R. David Jackson
R. David Jackson has over 15 years of legal experience, and has represented both public and private clients in environmental and administrative law in Florida during his career. His practice has focused on environmental permitting, water use and coastal issues, and regulatory compliance matters. More recently, he has also concentrated his practice on public procurement and assisting local governments with various purchasing and contractual issues. David previously worked as Assistant General Counsel for the Southwest Florida Water Management District.
Born and raised in Bradenton, David is a second-generation native of Manatee County. He has been very involved in his community having previously volunteered as a mentor with Big Brothers/Big Sisters and serving on the Board of Directors of the Tampa Bay Regional Chapter for the American Red Cross. Currently, David is the Chairperson for the Myakka Conservancy and the Leadership Manatee Board of Governors. In his free time, David enjoys baseball, music, and spending time with his family.
